Intricast Company, Inc., today announced the formation of a new Division, Radian Heatsinks (formerly Intricast Heatsink Division), to better serve the electronics industry. Radian Heatsinks designs and manufactures high performance heatsinks, specializing in producing standard and custom heatsinks. Radian Heatsink Division is located in the Intricast Company Santa Clara, California headquarters to provide customers a dedicated domestic facility for prototypes and short run production. Radian Heatsinks uses the Intricast Company offshore subsidiaries (Taiwan and China) to provide world-class quality products and pricing for higher volume designs.
“With the new Radian Heatsinks Division, Intricast is now able to utilize all relevant manufacturing processes for our customers,” stated Don Bedard, General Manager.
“These processes include extrusion, casting, forging, machining, folded fin, stampings, and bonded fin. We use proprietary and standard software to design state-of-the-art products, which fit standard high volume applications, as well as design custom products suitable for unique customer requirements, “ Mr. Bedard explained. According to Mr. Bedard, Radian uses modern, rapid prototyping equipment throughout any of the manufacturing processes to prototype customer requirements in under three weeks, and at nominal cost.
“The development of the Radian Heatsinks Division is a natural evolution of our company to support microprocessors with chip speeds exceeding 1 GHz and having excess thermal problems,” stated Mr. Gerald McIntyre, President and CEO of Intricast Company. “Our business strategy is to provide exemplary customer service by offering quick thermal design assistance, quick quote turnaround and shorter lead-time to production for all our customers.” The Radian Heatsinks Division is staffed for full operation to support lower to intermediate volume production.
