Ultra Efficient Cooling Solutions for the Latest Intel® 3.4GHz and 3.6GHz Prescott Processors
Radian Heatsinks, a division of Intricast Company, Inc., today announced the release of a new range of high efficiency coolers specifically designed to accommodate the rigorous cooling demands of the newest Intel® Pentium® 4 Prescott processors. Currently, there are two fansink assemblies available in the new series: the Turbo Helix (CS7127) and Crown Helix (CS7128) models, which effectively support Intel processor speeds up to 3.4 GHz and 3.6 GHz, respectively. Both coolers are provided ready for installation – with a fan, attachment mechanism and copper-embedded, aluminum heatsink. Radian’s Helix Series products can be directly purchased through the company’s online store.
POWER-PACKED PERFORMANCE
With a thermal resistance of 0.36 °C/W, the Crown Helix can easily satisfy the stringent cooling requirements of Intel’s latest Pentium 4 LGA775 CPU. Likewise, the Turbo Helix registers at a highly effective 0.21 °C/W when applied to Intel’s Pentium 4 Prescott 3.4GHz (Socket 478) processor. Precision forged from AL6063 aluminum, with a solid copper core, the heatsink component of both Helix models is comprised of 160 slightly curved aluminum fins. This innovative design feature enables an omni-directional distribution of airflow ‘ thereby facilitating the proper cooling of surrounding components. The copper-embedded heatsink base included in both Helix solutions delivers enhanced thermal performance to better accommodate the extreme processor speeds.
EFFECTIVE PRODUCT DESIGN
Designed for the Socket 478, Radian’s Turbo Helix cooler measures just 85mm x 75mm x 58mm tall, with an overall weight of 490g. The low profile design makes the Turbo ideal for use in a 2U server environment.
Defying the conventional practices of cpu cooler design, Radian’s new Crown Helix fansink assembly displays a uniquely circular footprint. Weighing in at 606g, the powerful Crown cooler exhibits an overall diameter of 102mm and height of 63mm. Similar to Radian’s Turbo model, the Crown Helix is suitable for a 2U server environment.
An adjustable speed controller allows the cooling fan to operate at an RPM rating between 3900 and 4800 RPM, and is provided with a standard 3-pin connector on Radian’s Turbo Helix, while the Crown comes equipped with a 4-pin fan power controller, which supports the new standard introduced on Intel’s Pentium® 4 LGA775 platform. Additionally, the signature curved fin design of Radian’s new Helix products ensures the effective channeling of airflow in all directions.
Radian’s 3.4 GHz Helix model comes equipped with a reliable, top-mount attachment clip that is designed to snap directly into the Intel® Pentium® 4 standard retention frame (socket 478), without any additional board modifications. The no-fuss pushpin design featured with Radian’s Crown Helix, effectively designed to support the Intel® Socket T (LGA775), provides easy installation and eliminates the need for any special mounting tools. Both units come with high-performance thermal grease, which can be applied by the customer, as needed.
